Making room

Sometimes you have to walk away from all the things that you don’t want to make room for the future. — Same Time Next Summer by Annabel Monaghan

These words rang true, as someone who has faced divorce and all the complicated feelings that came with it for me.

The making of room for the future can be scary, a leap into the unknown both exciting and terrifying. Will I land on something soft, or will my new life have hard edges that I don’t know how to file down? Will I mold myself around this newness? Or am I ready to hold my ground and entreat the future to mold around new me?

❓What is a principle you hold true to, and are inflexible on?
